Women Deserve Complete Satisfaction

It seems that sexual satisfaction is widely publicized and brought forward with significance when it comes to men, but rarely do we hear about addressing women’s sexual needs. This discrepancy is not only highlighted in the media, but it is clear that it translates through the pharmaceutical industry, where commercially available products for men’s sexual health are aplenty, while products for female sexual satisfaction are limited.

What is Female Sexual Arousal Disorder?

Female sexual arousal disorder occurs when the body doesn’t respond to sexual stimulation.

It’s important for a woman to address arousal issues as it can affect quality of life through decreased confidence or relationship and intimacy challenges.

Compounds to Address Female Sexual Health

Our experts work with your doctor to address your specific issues. In order to get a clearer, overall picture of your health we suggest that you get your hormones tested. We offer several hormone and vitamin level test kits that you can collect in the comfort of your own home.

Ask your practitioner about compounded bio-identical hormone therapy (BHRT) and schedule a consultation with our hormone experts. Ready to get started? Fill out this Female BHRT Questionnaire and our experts will take you through your journey to balanced hormone levels, every step of the way.

Arousal enhancing cream is a topical cream specially dosed by compounding pharmacies that, when applied to the clitoris or external genitalia, can increase blood flow to the area and has been reported to improve sexual response and ability to reach climax. Arousal enhancing creams are designed to act locally to improve blood flow to the genitals.

Oxytocin (also known as the “love hormone”) has grown in popularity in sex creams for women. A recent study published in the journal Hormones and Behavior suggested that the intensity of orgasm and contentment after sexual intercourse were increased upon Oxytocin administration.

For women, Oxytocin levels increase one minute after orgasm but return close to normal within five minutes afterwards.

Others include Sildenafil Cream (Sildenafil is the generic name for Viagra) and Trimix Cream. Trimix Cream is a combination of Papaverine, Phentolamine and Prostaglandin. Some of these creams may have Testosterone, if your Testosterone level needs a boost based on your test results.

Ask an Expert

Of course, sexual arousal and function in women is very complicated and not everyone would benefit from the same treatment. Therefore it is important to talk to an expert and discover what options may be appropriate for you. For more information and to set up a consultation appointment with me to discuss your options, please contact Community Clinical Pharmacy.

There are many different variations of arousal enhancing creams that can be custom made depending on your needs and your budget.

As with all compounded medications, these creams require a prescription and our expert pharmacists will be happy to present options to you and your healthcare provider to improve the quality of your life.
