What is Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)?
Naltrexone belongs to a class of drugs known as opioid receptor antagonists, which means that it blocks opiate drugs from binding to the opioid receptors, causing the body to increase endorphin production and enkephalin release, regulating the immune system.
LDN refers to daily dosages of naltrexone that are approximately 1/10th of the typical opioid addiction dosage.
